Where should i start? I think this will be a lengthy review but i am a person who is willing to write and explain my experience if it is amazing. I recently bought a subsale house in July and like a any subsale house it requires a fresh coat of paint and repairs. I am a person who have no knowledge of paints and rely solely on chatGPT to teach me. OD paints was recommended by chatGPT to me and i was extremely shocked as i have NEVER heard of this brand before therefore my first impression is perhaps the quality is not great. But alas, i was wrong, chatGPT keeps on recommending me the same brand and of course i have to do my due dilligence by researching about them. From there i know it is a homegrown brand (made in Malaysia, (this adds my sceptisicism, but then again it was watered down immediately when i see 100 of good reviews)). From there i learn that expensive doesnt mean quality. I also whatsapp them personally to understand better and their customer service is extremely helpful to explain more about their brand which i really appreciate. This is the initial part of my experience. After placing my order, i took the liberty to self collect and visited their shop to take a look at their outlet. I met with Chong who was extremely helpful, she tries to understand my needs and propose a better product for my house. Dont get me wrong all their products are amazing, but if you are doing it for you own house, naturally you want it to be the top notch. At first i chose the ultrashield sealer, but she then told me to upgrade to solar reflect. It is more expensive definitely but she gave me a special discount. And she is not doing merely to increase sales but rather she acted at my best interest. She said, sealer get the HIGHEST quality, but for the paint feel free to choose any of our products. If she is merely increasing sales, she would have told me to buy all the high end products that OD Paints offered. But she didnt. This is what you wont get from other retail paint shops, a bespoke advice, a human to human interaction and a relationship that is built based on trust. I am extremely pleased with the level of service provided and i would highly recommend if you are around the area, come down to their outlet. Speak to them, tell them what are your needs. And i am very sure they will be happy to accommodate and give you a special discount. All this is possible because they are based in Malaysia and they are able to cater to your needs. Good paint, need a special mix paint also can make if bring a physical item for them to color match. They also offered my alternative solution such as shopper or their website if I want delivery right to my house. Staff is helpful and polite and price is really good.
